I find that being insane and unable to remember if I ate breakfast and took my meds helps. Not a lot but it helps.

I don’t do drugs, but I find that some ’spiritual’ beverages now and then help keep the bile down and the arteries clean.
My girlfriend is an optimist — she thinks that Bush/Cheney and the rest of the gang, along with the other stuff you mentioned, is all going to shake out and justice will eventually be done.
