Mr Hall, I was so surprised to get a response from the man himself, I picked myself up off the floor, or would have had I not been sitting down.
There is something very obvious about the piece you wrote – you did a lot of homework before writing it, which I appreciate.
If you like anything I’ve written, please feel free to take it and call it yours. I only do political writing out of love for America, and for fun.
Dear Idealistferret, there are many intelligent democrats (gasp!). Most I talk to aren’t nearly as polarized as the Main Scream Media, and His Most Wonderful Greatness Rush Limbaugh (who’s second hand cigar smoke I’m not worthy to breathe), would lead people to believe.
I think often it’s a matter of how informed people are. Given new information, they modify their opinions to accomodate the facts. This is what makes me love talk radio and the internet so much. A continuous flow of in depth info if you want it.
Concerning God, the Jews and the American Indians have the greatest understanding as far as I’m concerned and come closest to defining the word God correctly. I stop here because I don’t want people complaining to Bart: “He’s talking about God for cat’s sake! Bart, smack him!”
It’s people like you who encoruage people like me to keep posting.

Love your writing. It’s awesome that the other non-Democrat on the site is so well-spoken and intelligent. And even those who are sure that God exists belive that He forgives. I don’t hold voting for Bush against you.

Dr, thanks for the reply. Unfortunately it’s worse than you make it out to be. It isn’t just GW (who I voted for twice – I regret having done so), this has been going on for a long time.
We need to reduce the size of govt to match the tax cuts, then install a consumption tax (getting rid of the IRS in the process), and go back to a non-inflating dollar.
As you say, the govt we have now is disguisting.
I, at least, will continue to critize China. I’m sure, though I can’t prove it, they are using slave labor among their other sins. They care nothing for people. This is the result of Godless Communism.
We live in desperate times, Dr., but it will get better through the efforts of you and me. One man can make a huge difference, and I ask for your help on this and other difficulties. We not only need to complain, but to supply answers.
Washington D.C. will hear us, it simply takes time.
Keep the faith, things will get better!

The US government should speak up against China, and would–if they weren’t holding billions of dollars in our debt. Can’t risk pissing them off now.

Bush has mortgaged our future to pay for his tax cuts, and silenced all criticism of China.
