Bob, Florida straw poll or not, there is no way the Mark of Cain is going to win in a real primary vote, in Florida or anyplace else. Neither the racist boobs at the bottom or the Fat cats at the top of the GOP have any interest in running a black guy for president in 2012 -- the smarter Republicans recall what happened in IL senate race in 2004 which pitted crapshit crazy black candidate Alan Keyes against our current sane and calm president. To use the Southern vernacular, Keyes was beaten like a Georgia mule. Likewise, Cain is a scary loudmouthed goofball who would be trounced in the general election.

I also don't agree that Little George's smarter brother Jeb is scheming to ride in on a white stallion to save the GOP this year. He's holding his fire until 2016 when, he hopes, the stain on the Bush name will have been sufficiently whitewashed. It wouldn't surprise me if the Bush Family secretly works against a Republican winiing in 2012 -- Jeb would be better off running for an open seat in '16 than challenging a sitting president.
