Besides, the picture itself gave me a laugh; it’s apparently not photoshopped — I found it at a site that featured ventriloquists’ dummies. BTW, I’ve heard a few of those old radio shows and was surprised at what Edgar Bergen got away with as Charlie McCarthy and Mortimer Snerd. Talk about your double entendre. There was one I vaguely remember where some starlet (not Veronica Lake) said something like “Charlie, I could love you if you didn’t have such a hard head.” And the ‘dummy’ replied, “It’s not that head that’s hard.” (Since it’s from memory, that dialogue is not verbatim, but it’s close.)

Although Charlie said the stuff Bergen couldn’t/wouldn’t. I remember one radio program where Charlie was blatantly hitting on Veronica Lake. Bergen himself could never have said those things. So is that where you’re going? Mitt is George’s dark side?
