Hi Jane,

Thanks for your comments on my posts.

Hypocrisy does, indeed, run rampant in our society. It is sad that we, as voters, are reduced to voting for the lesser of the evils. In an interview with Joy Behar, Jesse Ventura was asked if someone were to put his a gun to his head, would he vote for Romney or Obama. He said he'd take the bullet. Here's a URL to that: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zb3dyW4oMEg

On the international level, in terms of global economics, I think Milton Friedman's economic philosophy and those who embrace the "Chicago school" of economic theory caused a lot of the world's problems. Naomi Klein, in her book "The Shock Doctrine: The Rise of Disaster Capitalism," traces the effects of it since its origin. If you haven't yet read it, it is a MUST read - real eye-opener that ties everything together, such as wars, the IMF, the fractional reserve banking system, etc.

On another note, it is sad to hear about RS Janes' passing away and thanks for your comment on that. There are now big shoes to fill here on the BartBlog.

Best wishes, and you stay healthy too, Jane!
