Sadly true and why Americans are disgusted with
politics though most dont really understand why.
Its intersting that you’ve thrown the marianas island into the topic,My Father and two Uncles
helped take that Island in WW2 from the Japanese,
but more on topic because it is also one of the areas of investigation in the Jack Abramoff and Tom Delay investigations.

You got Fienstien from san francisco passing laws for the tuna industry sos they can pay dirt-low wages to non unionized workers in the marianna islands (a US posession and laughingly a Protectorate)StarKist is based in her district. Need I say more.
