There is no way this just about ratings. The profits from news divisions are a drop in the bucket for the parent corporations. The smarter investment would be to weaken the Democratic party and tacitly support a Repub victory.

Gerry, something else the Main Scream Media does is to cherry-pick polls so the races seem close – a good contest. This gets ratings.
Isn’t it interesting that this time around there are no Ross Perots or GW’s claiming they aren’t paying attention to polls? Just a thought.
