Peregrin, I never said you did, but the nutty right-wingers sure are. As far as Jerry Wright, most of what he said has appeared here on Bartcop is some form or another — the CIA connection to crack in black neighborhoods; rich, white elites running the show for their own benefit; our covert manipulation of governments in the Middle East and inventing Al Qaeda to get the Russkies out of Afghanistan. All Wright was saying was ‘God damn America’ — meaning the US government and the Power Elite, not the people — for doing these deplorable things.

BTW, I’ve heard ex-Marines who were in Vietnam — black, white and Latino — say basically the same things about the people who sent them over there on a fool’s mission. I think many Americans, reading Wright’s remarks in full, would agree with most of them.

I never really believed that she knew anything about the planned attack until after the fact and she just did not have the upbringing to know what to do about it after she found out, feeling that her loyalty was to her husband and his friend. Her crime if you watched the whole proceedings of trial by media was not that she knew or was involved in the attack but that she lied about knowing afterward. No one ever seemed to make that distinction.

My opinion is that Tanya got a lifetime sentence while about that time a man killed his wife and got 6 months in the funny farm and come out smiling and laughing and giving the victory sign.
