My memory is totally different that the press that is going around now.
I remember Ford as being an appointed, bungling misfit dangling on the string of Henry Kissinger.

Actually he kinda reminds me of our present day chimp, both are (were) losers controlled by others.

I was intrigued to discover that Ford’s losing presidential campaign against Carter was managed by that evil old standby, James Baker. Is there anywhere that bad penny doesn’t turn up in this long dark saga? Baker, Rumsfeld, Cheney – this trio of evil geniuses have been doing deals on behalf of the devil for the past 40 years.

What do you suppose they had on the Ford family that persuaded an old shoe like Gerald to pardon Nixon? Did Betty find herself in the same position as Martha Mitchell, who tried to blow the whistle on Nixon and was declared nuts – even though everything she leaked proved to be true? Is that what drove Betty to become such a big time substance abuser that she had to build her own private clinic?

What did Ford do with his time after he left office – besides perfect his golf game?

Just wondering.

Aw! Who is the clown who had to mess up the lovely pomp and circumstance by filing this quote?
Why it’s none other than Bob “ten-cents a dance” Woodward!
But wait! It gets better!

Ford (was quoted) in an embargoed interview in July 2004 that the Iraq war was not justified…
The Ford interview…took place for a future book project, though he said his comments could be published at any time after his death.

That’s right! The Wood-man has been sitting on this bijou for three years!. But ol’Bob ain’t a tool is he? Naw! By definition tools are useful for something.
Did Woodward really need this final effort? I mean, didn’t he have “Press Whore of 2006″ already sewed up.
So don’t let anyone tell you Ford was anything but a loyal company man. If he were still alive he would be supporting Bush right up to the burning of the Reichstag.
According to PBS this evening Ford was sandbagged by Nixon loyalists just prior to the pardon. The way it was supposed to work was Nixon was to have signed a confession and only then get the pardon. Ford had a bit of the three-card-monty played on him and Nixon claimed to his dying day he was innocent and had been hounded from office.
Bet the funeral parade will be nice, though. I’m going to get me a balloon.

Ford thought he was going to go to Hell for pardoning Richard Nixon.

Because of that, we cannot merely impeach bush. We must also impeach cheney.

I predict, however, that cheney will resign for health reasons. mccain will be appointed, then it will be he who pardons bush.

The American people will allow it. They will not march in the streets in protest. They will accept it like a whore accepts rough sex.

Help us, obi wan pelosi. You’re our only hope: impeach them both before it’s too late.
