The picture is screwed up. The wings on top are pilot’s wings, which he would be authorized to wear after pilot’s school. The ribbon on the left is the outstanding unit citation which he got because he landed in a unit that was given this citation, he did nothing to earn it. The ribbon on the right is the marksmanship ribbon which he presumedly earned on the rifle range. What is strange is that he is not wearing ENOUGH ribbons. during this time he would have been authorized to wear the national defense medal, he is technically out of uniform if not wearing it with dress blues.

What's bugging me is that 2 new carriers are being built, the USS George H. W. Bush and the USS Gerald R. Ford. The Ford was announced before he died, btw.

NEW Year ? Yea , like I thought this was the 21rst century too !
3000 of our young , dead for a losers drunk dreams , now they are going to send more to the slaughter . We also have yet to see the result of Sadam’s death . Not ” New ” enough for me by a long shot .
On the other hand , I have Grandkids growing up , a new lady friend in my life , my health and as I tend to say ” most of my hair and teeth ” . A lot for me to be Thankfull for , and lots of promise for the comming years .
To each and all : Good Health , Good Lovin , Good Pot and a Happy New Year .

By definition, criminals don’t obey laws. That’s why we own firearms: no law is going to stop a criminal from arming himself.

By the same token, we the people are armed with the ability to impeach and remove from office both the chimp and the cheney. I can live with a president Pelosi.

Criminals don’t obey laws, and they rob banks and people’s stashes because that’s where the goodies are. By the same token, bush and his cabal have looted the US treasury. They looted it because that’s where the money is.

If a criminal broke into my house and threatened my family or me, I’d shoot him right there. My .45 makes big holes. By the same token, we the people must draw on and take out bush and his cabal using our legal weapon: impeachment.

Don’t weenie out and say that impeachment won’t do any good. Granted, the lives of we the people won’t change much, as the damage to our economy has already been done. However, we will be able to resurrect our leadership of the planet by demonstrating that we can scoop out our own cat box. We the people must remove the turds that are bush and cheney if we are to live in the same room as the cat box.

Actually, we’re living IN the cat box, if we are to extend my metaphor all the way. For those of you with cats, you know that it would be OK to lie down in clean cat litter. Sort of like lying on the beach sipping Chinaco.
