And there will be little outrage from people. Many won’t know, understand or care. This is how democracy ends.

Regarding the Dems lack of resolve, I don’t know exactly what short hairs the administration is pulling, but Hillary’s comment about lobbyists is telling. When debate is muted representative government, the republic dies.
