Hills in OK? When I drove through there on the old Route 66 years ago I don’t recall seeing a single hill in the entire state. The place was so flat you had plenty of space to practice your ‘thousand-yard stare’ with room to spare. I’m sorry I wasn’t there in the summertime, though, to get some of the Bixby corn Bart raves about.

Funny, I mever thought of Oklahomans as hillbillies — the Palin-on-the-brain types I always thought of as ‘Okies.’

I heard on the teevee that even Alaskans consider Wasillians just a cut above pryin’ bar, mayo-on-everything, sleep-with-your-sister white trash.
