They timed the event when almost all the judges were out of town for the 4th of July. The city backed down within hours of the event. The state made their apology with a couple of days(the speech was on the statehouse, a public area) The feds have drug their heels on this for awhile.
Nice thing about it, the couple liked the way the people of WV treated them(even the Republicans) and decided to move here.
