All the tax accountants, tax attorneys, lobbyists, and IRS employees are going to go banana-nuts because this threatens their professional existence.
The opposition will be as fierce as anything we’ve ever seen. In order for this to become reality, both republicans and democrats will have to support it, because D.C certainly won’t.

FairTax.org just put up a “FairTax Fundamentals” whitepaper. I’d guess they’re addressing the flood of demogogues (e.g. fairtaxfraud.com) coming out of the woodwork now that FairTax is catching on!
