I think Ralph Nader as a pony is the metaphor (euphemism?)bart is using.
In my experience,Ponies suck.
They do nothing but eat and go dookie and try to be as big a nuisance as possible in return for all the nurturing they recieve.
Ralph however set out to make corporations accountable to the consumer only to be bought off after many years of fine work on the behalf of the people.
This is a silly comparison in my book,Bart likes to think that Nader was responsible for the stolen election of 2000.
My opinion is that the election was decided pre-2k by the energy companies to counter the oncoming crash of Enron,Saadaams swith to the Euro and diminishing returns of the world oil supply,
all it took after all was ratification in favor of Bush2 by the supreme court while the entire senate was away on a corporate lobbyist junket.
Bush2 would return all the money that Clinton stole in the form of taxes in the biggest welfare for the wealthy giveaway in history.
Gore would have turned the whitehouse into a birdhouse and we most certainly could not have that!

I’ll take Obambi — you know, the naif who is currently caving in under Hillary’s withering attacks just as he’ll crumple under Cap’n Crunch’s onslaught.

You can take the toon any way you want, but what I see in it is, once you get what you ask for, you may not like what you end up with.
I like Obama. I think he could be a great President…eight years down the road. If he is elected this year, though, the GOP will turn him into another Jimmy Carter – he won’t be able to get anything done and will lose office after one term to another Bush clone.
As for Nader, please. A third-party or independent candidate cannot get elected as President of this country. All Ralph will manage to do is siphon off votes from the Democratic candidate, making it easier for the Republican to win.
Yada, yada, yada.
Want the white girl over the black boy?
Go ahead and say it. Don’t be chicken.
Say it.

If you can read racism into that, then bite me.
