What do john lennon, and Boner have to do with Martin Luther King? Millionaire rock stars, one(lennon) who seemed so geeked on scag he barely made sense, the other Boner, who seems okay, and makes some cool music, both are/were entitled to thier opinion, but Martin Luther King sacrificed his life, and was always put it all on the line, christ every piece of redneck scum on the planet wanted to kill “that uppity n$#@#$”. He walked the walk, on a very high wire, and payed with his life. I have nothing against Bono, lennon was an idiot, neither deserve to be mentioned in the same tone as DR. King.

Well I’m poor and “white” (or at least enough so that most people don’t realize I’m not “white”), and I know they would have shot me. It’s not just black vs. white, it’s rich vs. poor too.
Let’s not forget that.
Until cops are held to the same standards of justice that the “minorities” or “poor” people are, they will always be a threat “our” safety.

They are/were all known as “men of peace who turned away from violence.”
But when you are attacked, failure to fight back might cost you your kids, your family, your life.
So keep that in mind.

And Lennon did get assassinated, too. So he “payed (sic) the price,” although in his case he was paying the price of believing he could live as a normal citizen in NYC without some idiot handjob shooting him to impress Jodie Foster.
It’s too early to tell, but I think Bono’s either too smart, or just not the type of celebrity that people like to assassinate.
