  1. I’m more than ready for universal health care. I can’t wait for the end to unconstitional domestic spying and imprisonment without trial. The Faith-based (definition:imaginary)contractors must not receive government funds.
Private security forces bankrupt our military and country. Even George Washington would call this one a no-brainer: No Mercenaries!
So- where’s the candidate facing the direction I want to move toward?

  2. The main problem with these “faith-based” fundi hypocrites is that you have to be a member of their particular cult to get any help. Not so with The Salvation Army.

The idea of Dubya having his own private army funded by taxpayers at a considerably higher rate than our military and guardsmen is not only shameful but scary and seems highly illegal to me. But of course we all know “His Godliness” makes up rules and laws for himself as he goes along and no one does a damned thing to stop him.

  3. The Salvation Army got half a billion dollars from Ray Kroc’s (McDonald’s) widow. What do they need tax money for?

  4. bittershaman, I guess I didn’t make myself clear. I don’t thinks Salvation Army gets the Faith Based bribes That they don’t preach politics from the pulpet if probably the reason they don’t. The main thing I have found is that the ones who do preach politics in their sermons will only use the gove. money to help their own and some have used it not to help the needy but to build new additions to their buildings PLUS,if you are NOT A MEMBER OF THEIR PARTICULAR CULT you get no help.

  5. I understand. They use the money for the day care and save their own money for the cars and pamphlets.
You would not believe how much tax money the Salvation Army gets. Federal. State. County.
They get the money that a nearby power company collects in it’s Help-A-Neighbor fund. That was a cruel joke when I became one of the the poor neighbors and found out the closest SA center was 50 miles away.
Somewhere on this computer I have pages of records of tax money they get. (I was pissed off about the faith grab a year or so ago.) And they still trot those ex- drunk and homeless people out to beg for them every christmas.
