The Hollow Man
William Rivers Pitt
Senator John McCain retains his “maverick” image despite voting with GOP colleagues 88 percent of the time.
William Rivers Pitt, Truthout: “The facts reveal that Mr. McCain has thrown his support behind just about every asinine and idiotic decision made by the single most unpopular and unsuccessful American president there ever was and, God willing, ever will be. The facts reveal that he has boomeranged away from so many policy positions he once espoused, going so far as to denounce a whole sheaf of legislation he had personally authored, because the Republican base despised those issues, but since he needed their support if he ever wanted to have a chance of winning, it was whiplash be damned and the Devil take the hindmost.”
Activist say the lobbyist issue is prompting others to look more closely at McCain’s record.
A video called “McCain’s YouTube Problem Just Became a Nightmare”
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GEtZlR3zp4c
produced by filmmaker Robert Greenwald’s Brave New Films, provides a “video paper trail,” as one McCain critic puts it, of how he has changed positions on everything from the economy to his impressions of the Iraq war. It has received nearly a million views in less than a week, making it one of the most popular anti-McCain videos online.
I still have a fading hope that one day a Big Media newscast — besides KO or Rachel Maddow — will lead with the story “McCain Flip-Flops Again!”
The good part is he’s doing it so often that even people who don’t pay close attention are beginning to notice it.

It really hits home to see dozens of clips with the flip-flops coming out of his mouth though.
Now with his latest show of poor judgement in VP pick I almost feel sorry for the poor old coot. ALMOST! ;O)
