 Former Federal Prosecutor Now Working for McCain Campaign Behind Legal Action Branding Alaska Legislature’s Probe of Palin’s Firing of State’s Top Cop ‘Tainted’ and Demanding it Be Stopped Until After the Election

Edward O’Callaghan, a former Justice Department anti-terrorism prosecutor, now works for the McCain-Palin campaign — which has mounted an aggressive legal campaign to stop the Alaska Legislature’s “Troopergate” investigation. Allies for Palin, the GOP vice-presidential nominee, filed suit Tuesday to declare the investigation illegal. meanwhile eleven state employees defied subpoenas and refused to testify before a joint legislative committee probing Palin’s firing of the state Public Safety Commissioner.
