The Tattlesnake – Increasingly Ridiculous GOP Economic Excuses Edition

Bleeding Stupid

REPUBLICANS: “We’re doing everything we can to stop the bleeding.”

VOTERS: “Who shot this guy?”

REPUBLICANS: “We don’t know and we don’t want to find out.”

VOTERS: “What?”

REPUBLICANS: “We don’t believe in finger-pointing.”

VOTERS: “You mean you don’t want to know who shot this guy so that we can hold them responsible for the crime?”

REPUBLICANS: “Uh, we don’t want to indulge in the blame game.”

VOTERS: “So, you’re saying you don’t care — whoever did this can just roam free to do it again?”

REPUBLICANS: “That’s finding fault. We think finding fault is counter-productive.”

VOTERS: “You’re crazy.”

REPUBLICANS: “No, we’re moving forward in a bipartisan manner.”

VOTERS: “Say, what’s that in your pocket? Why, it looks like a gun!”

REPUBLICANS: “Uh, er…that’s just a banana ’cause I’m so glad to see you!”

  1. This summary scratches the surface:

The Laisez-faire policies are the ones to blame here and notably McCains staffers of Investors,
lobbyists and of course Phil Gramm.
Here We are all over again with the taxpayers
cleaning up the mess left behind by a Republican administration bent on de-regulation,
corporate welfare for the wealthy and the rights, freedoms and limited wealth from the needy.
Now thats the real Neo-con model in a nutshell.

  2. Rain, thanks for that. Also read this by Jim Moore, co-author of “Bush’s Brain.” He connects the dots in an easy-to-grasp way:

  3. RSJ,
I saw a bumper sticker that sums it up nicely:
    Its the Stupid,Stupid!
I notice in the aforementioned article that the Mr. Moore left the Silverado S&L debacle out.
It is true that the slightly smarter Bush brothers are not directly related to the mishaps
in the last 14 months but doing so would remind
the reader of the Bush Brothers criminal acts.
In George “W”‘s term as pResident,He spent according to an investigation by the GAO 1.6 billion with a “B” on 343 contracts with P.R. firms and advertising from 2003 to mid year 2005.
1.1 billion of that went through the DOD (Department of Defense) selling the occupation of Iraq.

We can’t have People going around the water cooler saying that:The Bush Family has been corrupt from Grandpa on down the line,What is W’s and Darth Cheney’s connection to all this?
And then the GAO might get curious.
This latest scam on the taxpayer was sold to the taxpayer with non stop coverage by the media in the interest of destroying the New Deal regulations which have protected the Public for over 50 years from the greedy assholes who could’nt run a lemonade stand unless at gun point.
Ask Yourself is’nt it odd that it all falls apart just before the election and right after the convention bounce failed.

*Right this way folks, its your last chance to *get F-e-r-e-e-e-e money while Our boy still *has a little power and a fistful of pardons.
