The SS was sitting in the audience and didn’t even get there until after the second show was thrown. If the reporter had intended real harm rather than insult, they would have been way too late.
Why is that? Do the SS agents assigned to Bush secretly wish he’d bite it?
I have to admit that I wouldn’t shed a tear if it happened, but SS are supposed to be above politics. Their reaction time was abysmal and they should at the very least be reassigned.
Where was the Secret Service hiding? I may not like GW personally, but I would still take a shoe for the President.

Good thing Bush spent all that time riding his bike and clearing brush or he might have lost an eye or something.
