Throughout his bid for the GOP’s 2008 presidential nod, Mitt Romney has called for overturning Roe v. Wade so that poor women can move to a pro-choice state if they find themselves pregnant. Rejecting a “one-size-fits all” approach to abortion, Romney has described his position as reflecting a “federalist approach,” whatever that means.
“My view is not to impose a single federal rule on the entire nation — a one-size-fits all approach — but instead allow states to decide is murder is murder,” Romney told the National Journal in its Feb. 9 issue.
It now appears, however, that if the super-rich Mormon succeeds in making pregnant women criminals, he would ultimately like to see two federal measures whose cumulative effect would be to curtail the ability of states from granting their women abortion rights.
So, he’s for state’s right up to the point that he’s not?
If men could get pregnant, abortion would be a sacrament.
Okay, speak to women’s rights. All and good. But lets not be so mute about Moslem women’s rights! How come I hear as much out of Now, for example as when The Big Dog was pleasing Monica (or is that the other way around – can’t tell)?
Feminists are crickets silent as Moslems continue to this day to stone women. Where is the outrage!?!
Light a fire under them, Bart!
