Can you believe the huge stink in Boston about somebody leaving some “Lite Brite” type figures around the city for people to see?
It looks like the kid paid to do it will do time, because so many people in Boston panicked over this stupid shit, instead of reasonably giving him a misdemeanor fine and moving on.
It was dumb, but was it really worth $750,000 of hysteria?

Bart I want to rant a little about protest marches. The one we just had was a near perfect event – there was no distraction on side issues it was all about the Iraq war. I think that format was best and I was glad UnitedForPeace didn’t take the usual ANSWER format and have all the Zionists-haters up there taking over the entire protest for hours on end while we wait to march. Also a lot of radical socialist talk goes on at ANSWER rallies that alienates someone like me, white and middle class from the suburbs, and we need a lot more of us at these things not to be alienated.
Then I read on DU that they want to do their next one and focus on Israel! I say let people in Israel protest their bad government policies if they want to, it doesn’t have that much to do with me. (I know we send a lot of money to Israel, but really, that’s not going to stop anytime soon.)
Anyway, it’s obvious from the pictures (and all the signs!) that a lot of your readers were at the march. I’d just like someone else’s take on that. I attend a lot of these marches as I live close to D.C.
