Note Sent to the President. – Grim

Dear Mr. President,

The Contra Costa times reports:

SAN DIEGO — Nearly a year after Congress passed legislation calling for the construction of 700 miles of new fencing along the U.S.-Mexico border, about 15 miles have been built, according to the Department of Homeland Security.
Rep. Duncan Hunter, R-El Cajon, a longtime fence backer, said in a letter to President Bush last week: “This lack of progress is unacceptable, especially when adequate funding is available to earnestly proceed with fence construction.”

Will you quit stalling? Build the damn fence!

  3. We helped tear down the communist Berlin Wall, I wonder who in the future will help tear this capitalist “Berlin Wall”. Maybe China when they become a superpower using our dollars and lust for toys.

  4. Oh go Cheney yourself grim. You are a one trick pony with your constant harangue against immigration. It’s not nice to scapegoat. ~M

  5. Dear Oddcat, My “constant harangue” is against illegal immigration, not immigration. The rest of your message is confusing. Please speak in plain English rather than in smear code.

  7. 700 Miles costs alot of money to build. Steel prices keep going up daily because of gas prices going up. Fencing materials are up 50% from last years prices. So I am sure there is alot of problems funding it. Plus everyone charges the government double simply because they are so hard to work with.

  8. They also ran into some problems when some property owners didn’t want large chunks of their land taken from them.
