I saw on the Huffington post,though I can’t find the story now,George HW Bush calling for civility towards the president.
The former President went on to explain the cables seem to be the problem and when prompted named Rachel Maddow and Keith Olberman as being ‘Sick Puppies’.
In 1988 GHWB employed a man named Lee Atwater to smear and spread fear against his rival Mike Dukkakis.
Atwater ran an attack ad using a mugshot of a Murderer who went on a rampage during a prison furlough,Atwater managed in his own words”to make Willie Horton,Mike Dukkakis’s running mate.
In 1992 Atwater was diagnosed with a brain tumor and virtually on His deathbed recanted his contribution to the political discourse during and after the election.
Saying that what made this country great was brotherhood but that what He had done was to put a tumor
in the soul and morality of America.

Now,recently friends,Rush Limbaugh tried to buy into the St.Louis Rams but due to misgivings of the NFL players union and team owners over Rush’s undeniable
hatred of minorities was dropped from consideration.
Is this a coincidence or is it perhaps that GHWB wanted Jeb Bush to run for President.
Sources near to GHWB have quoted him as saying Jeb is in fact the smartest of the Bush Brothers,but that with all the negative press after
GW Bush the simple’s administration that Jebbie does not stand any chance of election.
The bitter irony of it all is that GHWB gave a speech on civility in College Station Texas to a crowd filled with sign toting teabaggers who loudly booed
every time the sitting president’s name was mentioned.
So who is the civility for,then really?
Seemingly the former president feels that the Bush family has been unfairly
singled out by parties on the right and the left and by
minorities and by the cables.
Seriously,You can’t make this stuff up!

Rain, it’s no secret that Jeb was picked to be the next Bush president and Junior and Rove stuck it in the eye of Poppy and Babs by running in 2000 without the family’s approval. (‘Dubya’ had always been the ‘idiot son’ and wanted to prove himself; Rove had a personal reason for revenge — he had been fired from Poppy’s presidential campaign for, get this, dirty campaign tactics.)
Remember when Poppy was making a speech a few years back and broke down crying because he realized Junior had so poisoned the Bush name that Jeb would never be president? (It’s probably on You Tube.)
The Bushies are trying to refurbish the family name in politics, but I don’t think it’s going to work — even Republicans avoid mentioning Bush in public to this day.
That’s rich about Olbermann and Maddow being ‘sick puppies’ — has he listened to Beck, Rushbo and the rest of the right-wing media Death Kennel?
The only thing Poppy has is an aircraft carrier named after him and, rumor is, the thing is plagued with weird problems and malfunctions, just like the Bush family. Aptly, the ship’s communications system apparently regularly goes haywire. (Ha, ha.)
BTW, I’m sure you know there is, incredibly, a Bush dumber than ‘W’ — that would be younger brother Neil, the box-of-rocks idiot who couldn’t get a job shining shoes without his family’s influence. That’s what happens with inbreeding — I read somewhere Poppy and Babs are cousins.
