Republicans Plan Future

  1. RS, your comments on my Examiner page cracked me up! It’s obvious the wing nuts don’t know how to deal with an informed with a sense of humor. Watch for the name-calling to start after you get them really frustrated, HA HA! You probably have noticed by now that there is much more diverse pool of readers there than on the lefty sites (translation: more wing nuts). One of the reasons I write there is so these idiots see ideas that they wouldn’t see anywhere else that they go on the ‘net.

Just FYI, Bruce who comments in there is my brother, and he served 7 years as an Army officer, including a tour in Afghanistan, making Capt. before an honorable discharge. Note that he doesn’t throw that in people’s faces like the others do. I think most of these so-called “veterans” are a bunch of phony, chickenhawk, arm chair warriors. Most of the ones that really were there either do not want to talk about it, or have a much more realistic view of the situations overseas.

I’d like to find a way to work in some of your ‘toons in my articles, if that would be ok with you. Those AP photos can get really boring. Thanks for all your comments!

  2. Thanks, Greg, and feel free to use my toons in any way you see fit.

I used to try and be more patient with wingnuts, provide facts and links and calm rebuttals, until I realized I was wasting my time. Now, I just ridicule them, but I have been told by a Recovering Republican that ridicule is what made him start checking other sources and led to his realizing that the Right-Wing Media had been lying to him. (Well, that, and Bush’s failures in Iraq and on the economy.)

BTW, I agree: in my experience, most of those who boast about their military service either didn’t serve, or were safely stateside in some ‘office help’ capacity.
