Bart I’d like to ask you a serious question. If Hillary is around only 45% support in the party doesn’t that mean 55% are opposed to her? Do you really want us to run someone who doesn’t have the support of at least half the Democratic party?

That same poll shows Obama at only 25% and Edwards at 14%. By your logic, then, there must be 75% opposed to Obama, and 84% opposed to Edwards. By your logic, isn’t every other Democratic candidate a worse bet than Hillary?
Can you show me one poll – just one – that shows any candidate for the Democratic nomination with a majority of the voters’ support? Of course you can’t. It just doesn’t work that way. The fact of the matter is, most of those respondents will support Hillary over any Republican candidate, if she gets the nomination.
These polls are showing the voters’ preference among Democratic candidates. As such, getting 45% is actually phenomenal.
The only registered Democrats who won’t support Hillary over her Republican opponent, are the ones who are bad at math. You know – Nader voters.

FYI, I will support whoever wins the Democratic nomination. I know we cant take much more compassionate conservatism.
